Some fun layouts...

I've been busy taking an online class over at Get It Scrapped. It's one of the Guided-Study Critique Classes over there...the one with Celeste Smith and Doris Sander. Since Celeste is one of my fave all time scrappers, it was a real honor to get into her session. What's so neat though, is that even though Celeste and Doris have quite different styles, their feedback is often very similar, because it's based on sound design principles.

Here is a few of the layouts that I've created for the class so far...

Can u hear me now

This one came out of an assignment on shape...love how the iconic phone 'bars' help reinforce the theme of this page...

Favorite cousin

This one was a study in contrast-I tried to highlight contrast with the color scheme, oversized photo and good mix of values...love the result!

So far, my main take aways have been on choosing each page element purposefully, with design in mind and how to polish a page....love what I'm learning!

Thanks for popping by!

Hi Angela I thought I'd pop by at my fellow class mates blogs to see the "other side" of them. Love your page sharing it's good to see the other page paired with the critique page.
