It's snowing here...just a dusting, but it's COLD...and I'm dreading the months ahead...so what did I do? I got out my bright fun scrapbook supplies and created a page!! The American Crafts City Park papers did just the trick too!
To create the background, I used a Spellbinders die in my Xyron Creatopia (Shapez cartridge) to create the flower shaped mask...I attached it and a square of scrap cardstock to my paper with some repositionable glue dots and then inked the border, blending the colors as I went...next came the Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold...the water based mist helped to blend the ink colors and then I sponged off the excess to created a mottled finish...a quick outline with my black pen and the rest was EASY...the larger picture on the bottom of the layout makes me smile everytime I see it...I'm saving it in a special place so when the kids are teenagers and hate each other, I can pull it out and show them how things were in the 'old days'!!

Doesn't it just feel like summer??
