A Core'dinations Card...

This past weekend I whipped up this card using the NEW Xyron Creatopia Shapez flower die (by Spellbinders) and some of my fave Core'dinations cardstock...the sentiment is from a Jillibean soup diecut sheet and I adhered it to the backside of a heart stickpin (also from Jillibean) and stuck it in the foam adhesive....super fun and super quick too!

Birthday Set with Echo Park Little Boy...

I made this birthday set with the Echo Park Little Boy paper/sticker pack before Christmas...and FINALLY I can share it...all of it used the various functions of the Xyron Creatopia...some fabric adhesive, some regular adhesive, and I WORE OUT the Shapez component (just kidding, I just used it ALOT!) and made use of the Cutz componenet too!

Let's start with the invitiation....I used a Spellbinders  Nestabilities (Octagon) die set and cut a folded piece of cardstock to make the card base...

And on to the centerpiece...a Kaisercraft train covered in Echo Park paper and some felt!

and on to the placeholders and cupcake holders and flags...

And then, for when the party is over and the pictures are printed, a little mini album to hold all the memories...

Christmas Ornaments...

Since I'm starting to get into the holidy mood...I made these dimensional ornaments...they were in addition to the Christmas tree in the previous post:

Christmas ornaments

I cut around 10 shapes from the Echo Park Merry Christmas papers, using this Spellbinders (lotus pendants) die and my Xyron Creatopia (Shapez module)...then I scored each shape down the middle, folded along the score line and ran the FOLDED shape through my Creatopia with the Permanent adhesive cartridge....and then adhered the shapes in alternating order, inserting the string of beads and a 'blob' (I know, highly technical term!!) of glue at the end...I strung a ribbon through the tops of two shapes on opposite sides and strung another spacer bead on the ribbon to center the ribbon above the ornament...they were then ready to hang and enjoy!!

I can't let go of summer....

It's snowing here...just a dusting, but it's COLD...and I'm dreading the months ahead...so what did I do? I got out my bright fun scrapbook supplies and created a page!! The American Crafts City Park papers did just the trick too!

To create the background, I used a Spellbinders die in my Xyron Creatopia (Shapez cartridge) to create the flower shaped mask...I attached it and a square of scrap cardstock to my paper with some repositionable glue dots and then inked the border, blending the colors as I went...next came the Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold...the water based mist helped to blend the ink colors and then I sponged off the excess to created a mottled finish...a quick outline with my black pen and the rest was EASY...the larger picture on the bottom of the layout makes me smile everytime I see it...I'm saving it in a special place so when the kids are teenagers and hate each other, I can pull it out and show them how things were in the 'old days'!!

Reminisce REAL SPORTS sneak peek...and my last Xyron CHA project

The Reminisce REAL SPORTS sneak peek is up on their BLOG. Here's a simple altered frame I did with one of the quote cards to remember my son's soccer season this year.

Real sports frame

And here's my last CHA project for Xyron...a 8.5x11 layout of my son's graduation from preschool...I've scrapped this picture a number of times, but none of the layouts remain at home with me, so looks like I'll have to scrap it one more time in the future for MY scrapbook!!

This layout features the Cutz cartridge on the Xyron Creatopia to create the base for the paper weaving technique. The whole layout took about 6 passes through the machine (for cutting and adhesive) and less than 30 minutes to create...my kind of crafting!!

Creatopia CHA project...

Here's another CHA bound Creatopia project for Xyron...it's a dress created out of strips of Basic Grey's new Origin papers...the Creatopia cut through the felt for the bodice like it was butter...way easier than I expected...and it cut the deco edge on all the strips in the dress too in no time flat...loving the versatility of this tool!!

Here's one of my Creatopia projects...

It's a fun Valentine themed doily banner...it may make an appearance at CHA too!!

Creatopia ac love banner

I used the Creatopia in a variety of ways, to add embossing to the pink circles, to cut the decorative edge on the pinwheel flowers and most excitingly, to cover the clothes pins with patterned paper...I actually ran the CLOTHES PINS through the machine...it applied even, edge to edge coverage and I didn't have to get my wet glue out!! love it!
