Celebrate 7....

I was lucky enough to get some FANTABULOUS Pink Paislee/House of 3 Soiree papers!  I teamed them up with some Tattered Angels Glimmer mists (in marigold and party pink) and a Maya Road zipper trim rosette...and here's what you get!!

Pp soiree layout

The background paper is from the earlier Parisian Anthology release...the resist is a part of the paper....I also love the bit of grey in the paper line...really sets off the fun, bright colors and let me incorporate a zipper flower for fun!

Some Pink Paislee loving...

I've had some Pink Paislee Sweetness on my craft table (thanks to Xyron and a recent cross promotion) for a while now and when I saw this Allison Davis Sketch, I knew exactly what to reach for...here's a layout about my daughter and how she's says things 'funny' right now...my son misted the chipboard hearts for me....he's a pro...

5 more minutes....and some weekend creativity...

My daughter has figured out my stalling technique....and is now using it against me!! After she asks for something I often say '5 more minutes' in an attempt to teach her some patience, or buy some time if I'm in the middle of something or not do it when she forgets about whatever it is she asked for....but lately, anytime I ask her to do something SHE tells me..."5 more minutes". Like tonight, when I said it was bath time...she said '5 more minutes' and she really meant...not now I'm busy watching TV and I HATE baths lately....so it's exactly my own words coming back to haunt me...their intentions too!!! and she's not 3 yet!!!

Anyways, the Reminisce staff hosted a DT retreat this weekend in North Liberty...what a BLAST...we met the product designers, spent time offering our imput on future Reminisce products and were treated like ROYALTY....product packs, a warehouse shopping spree, gift certificates and FOOD like nobody's business (including picture perfect calamari) !!! TONS of fun!! Thank you Reminisce--particularly Matt, Andria (the owners) and Meagan...the DT coordinator EXTRODINAIRE!!

Here's two of the layouts I created this weekend...I have a couple of 2 pagers coming up and an altered project needing some finishing touches, but here's what got done this weekend between all the other fun!!

Brown eyed girl 2010

On this one, I created the background paper by first applying modge podge to cardstock and letting it dry...this created a less porous surface, so when I sprayed the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist it blended really well and stayed more vibrant than if I had applied it directly to the cardstock...I finished the corners with a little bit of GLAM...and the little rossette in the center of the pleated twill flower was created with the left over paper towels used to mop up my excess glimmer mist!! Patterned paper and die cut cut out is by Teresa Collins....loving her color (I just embellished the die cut with some Clear Snap Smooch (Thanks Tami!!)).

Piano Man 2010

This one was fun to do too!! I went way back in the Reminisce paper vault and dug up some of their Music papers (brown) and embellish stickers....layered all that on top of some Pink Paislee patterned paper (light turquoise), layered onto some ruffled Tattered Angels music notes stamped tissue that I misted with Maya Road mist and water.

Check back later for the 2 pagers...give me a few days to get 'em up!! Toodles...thanks for stopping by!!

more Pink Paislee lovin'...

I know, I know, I promised this yesterday...however, I was way too busy celebrating the appearance of my layout in the October issue of Scrapbooks Etc (pg. 23) to do anything else!! Seriously, I still jump up and down every time I see a layout in print...love that!!

So, here's the Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus goodness that I promised to share...love this stuff!! I went a bit willy nilly with the stars, but it was such a great way to showcase more of the BEAUTIFUL papers in the line...I couldn't help myself...and the Xyron 1.5 inch sticker maker made attaching the smaller stars and journalling strips EASY PEASY!!

Some Pink Paislee loving....

Hello fellow crafters...recently I was lucky enough to get 3 of the new Pink Paislee lines...here's what I did with the "Old School" papers and some of the Pink Paislee Ribbon Pleats I had on hand...of course I used my Xyron Creatopia to put adhesive on the back of both 12x12 papers...yes it's a 12x12 adhesive machine!!! I'll be back tomorrow with a layout featuring their Halloween line...HOCUS POCUS....toodles!!
